Location Configuration
Location Settings
1024Proxy enables fine-grained proxy IP location control—from country to city, and from geographic location to network carrier—through a multi-dimensional parameter combination of Country / Region + State / Province + City + ASN. Users can flexibly combine these parameters according to their business needs, achieving higher stability and success rates while ensuring anonymity and security.
Country / Region
This parameter is used to specify the country or region to which the proxy IP belongs. It is the most basic and commonly used filter in proxy location targeting. In 1024Proxy, countries or regions are represented using ISO 3166-1 two-letter country codes (internationally standardized 2-letter country codes), for example:
US→ United StatesGB→ United KingdomDE→ GermanyJP→ JapanKR→ South Korea
By specifying the Country/Region parameter, users can accurately obtain local IPs from the target country. This is widely used in scenarios such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas website access, localized content testing, and ad placement verification.

State / Province
This parameter further narrows down the IP location to a specific state or provincial-level administrative region within the selected country or region. It is particularly useful for countries with large geographic areas and significant network differences between states or provinces, such as the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Examples:
California, United States
New York, United States
Ontario, Canada
Filtering by state or province allows the proxy IP to better match real local user network environments, improving account stability and business relevance.
City
The City parameter is used to specify the exact city-level location of the proxy IP, providing a more granular level of targeting. This feature is suitable for scenarios with very strict geographic requirements, such as:
Local search result testing
Local advertisement display verification
Localized social media account operations
Accessing region-restricted content
Even within the same country and state, IP behavior patterns and risk-control thresholds may vary between cities. City-level targeting can effectively improve operational success rates.
ASN (Autonomous System Number)
ASN refers to the Autonomous System Number of the proxy IP, which identifies the network operator or Internet Service Provider (ISP) the IP belongs to. By using the ASN parameter, users can precisely control the ISP source of the IP—such as selecting residential networks or mainstream local ISPs—and avoid network segments that are flagged or subject to strict risk controls.
Common use cases include:
Avoiding risk controls tied to specific ISPs
Matching the network environment commonly used by target users
Improving account login reliability and long-term operational stability
Code Examples
Country / Region
The following example demonstrates how to extract an IP from Louisiana, United States.
By adding -region-US-st-Louisiana, the proxy protocol can be directed to a precise geographic location.

City
The following example demonstrates how to extract an IP from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
By adding -region-US-st-Louisiana-city-New Orleans, the proxy protocol can be directed to a city-level location.

ASN
The following example uses ASN AS11272 to demonstrate how to precisely extract a proxy IP by modifying the parameter to region-US-asn-AS11272.
