Username & Password Authentication

What Is Username&Password Authentication?

Username&Password Authentication (also known as Account & Password Authentication) is a common and fundamental identity verification method. When using a proxy service, users are required to enter a Username&Password in the connection request. The proxy server verifies these credentials first, and only grants access to network resources after successful authentication.

Key Features

✅ No fixed local IP required — usable from any network environment

✅ Flexible configuration — suitable for multiple users, multiple devices, or automated programs

✅ Secure and controllable — passwords can be changed or accounts disabled at any time

Complete Proxy Parameter Configuration

1. Set Geolocation

Country or Region: Select or search for the required region using the dropdown list. You can visit the Country Code page to view country codes.

State/Province: Select or search for the desired region using the dropdown list.

City: Select or search for the desired region using the dropdown list.

2. ASN

On the Internet, global networks are divided into Autonomous Systems (AS). Each Autonomous System is managed by a single organization (such as telecom operators, cloud service providers, universities, or enterprises) and is assigned a unique identification number, known as an ASN (Autonomous System Number).

ASN and State/Province/City filters cannot be used at the same time. You must choose one or the other.

3. Proxy Host

Forwarding servers in different regions can affect proxy performance differently. It is generally recommended to select a region closer to the target IP or closer to the user’s physical location.

1024Proxy provides forwarding servers in the United States and Hong Kong. Choosing a server closer to your location can result in faster access speeds.

4. Session Type

Session types include Sticky IP and Rotating IP modes.

Session Duration:

  • In Sticky IP mode, the IP address remains unchanged for the selected session duration (1–120 minutes).

  • In Rotating IP mode, the IP address changes with every request.

For more details, please visit the Session Control page.

5. Select Account

You can create sub-accounts in the Account Management page. Select the corresponding account from the dropdown list to extract and use proxy resources, enabling precise traffic control.
